Global Centurion's Human Trafficking Demand-Reduction Program

Human hands
With more than 40 years of real estate development and investment experience, Martin L. Hudler serves as the manager of Endeavor Investments, LLC, in Portland, OR. Outside of his work, Martin L. Hudler contributes to several organizations and is the founder of Global Centurion, a nonprofit that fights human trafficking.

Since the Trafficking Victims Protection Act was passed in 2000, the fight against human trafficking has largely focused on rescuing and rehabilitating victims of trafficking, with hundreds of organizations offering services and shelter to victims. While victim services are essential, a well-rounded approach to end trafficking must also include efforts to curb demand.

To this end, Global Centurion’s Demand-Reduction Program develops educational programs to raise awareness among law enforcement officers, corporate executives, community leaders, and the public at large about human trafficking and prevention initiatives. In addition to addressing demand through front-end programs that educate young people to prevent them from getting involved in the sex industry, the Demand-Reduction Program addresses the back end of the industry by going after predators and those who exploit others. Through these and other efforts, Global Centurion aims to decrease demand and protect people from becoming prey to human traffickers.
